About Space - Forging stars, one app at a time
Space is an indie studio based in Spain. We create tools that help people move forward. We believe in building with purpose—not to keep you scrolling, but to help you live better. Every Space app respects your privacy and your time.
Great tools shouldn't demand attention—they should complement what you're already doing. They work naturally, invisibly, until you don't think about them anymore. That's the goal.
Space's philosophy is design by subtraction. We keep only what matters, remove everything else. The result? Apps that feel light, honest, and built for humans.
What guides us
- Privacy isn't a feature. It's how Space builds. No tracking, no data harvesting, no surveillance capitalism. Your data stays yours.
- Tools, not traps. Space doesn't design to keep you hooked. Our goal is that someday you might not need our apps—because you've grown beyond them or found what you needed. At Space, we build for your progress, not our profit.
- Design by subtraction. At Space, every feature we don't add is a victory. Simplicity takes more work, but it's worth it.
- No pressure, no guilt. Apps shouldn't make you feel bad. No streaks, no shame, no dark patterns. Just tools that respect you.
- Build in the open. Space is transparent about what we make and why. Our users deserve honesty, not marketing speak.
- Growing thoughtfully. We're not here to dominate the market or be the biggest. We want to improve slowly, steadily, and sustainably. Better experiences at fair prices, built with care. That's how we measure success.
How we work - Slow down to move forward
We're not racing to outgrow our competition. We're building toward something sustainable. Time, thought, and care matter. Better to improve gradually and keep users for the right reasons—because our apps truly help them—than to chase explosive growth.
- Listen deeply. We start by understanding the real problem—not the surface issue, but what's actually going on beneath.
- Question everything. Does this feature need to exist? Can we solve this with less? We challenge assumptions ruthlessly.
- Prototype relentlessly. We build, break, rebuild. The best ideas emerge through iteration, not inspiration.
- Test with real people. Not with personas or analytics dashboards—with actual humans using the thing we built.
- Polish obsessively. Details matter. The animation timing, the haptic feedback, the micro-copy—all of it.
- Support genuinely. We read every email, fix every bug we can, and treat feedback like the gift it is.
Why we exist
Space began as a passion. Years of tinkering, creating, building things for the joy of building them. For a while it became something else—consulting, helping businesses get online at low cost. It paid the bills. But it wasn't us. We realized we needed to create our own products, products that reflected what we actually cared about. So we stepped back and started over.
The best tools are built through design by subtraction—adding only what is fair and necessary, not features for the sake of it. They are built with human and natural design, avoiding aggressive marketing and monetization.
Our logo is the Polar Star. For centuries, it guided lost sailors back to their path. We don't want to be the rule you must follow. We want to be the guide you can trust. Our apps are meant to light your way, to help you continue your journey, not to trap you or redirect you. We forge stars—tools that guide, not chains that bind.
If our apps help even one person, if they make one person's life genuinely better, then Space was worth creating. That's our real metric. Not downloads, not revenue, not market share—just one person, one life, genuinely improved. Our vision is to grow slowly, steadily, with time. Apps, websites, maybe one day hardware. But step by step. No giant leaps. Just millions of small steps, building something that truly matters.
